Although a prospering nation, Costa Rica has many segments of its population in need of your volunteer service. We offer several different types of service projects for your group to choose from depending upon your goals. Here are a few of the centers we work with:

• Children's community center and after-school programs in La Carpio shantytown
• Day-care center for low-income senior citizens

Experience the culture, practice Spanish, and meet the people of Costa Rica. Your group will have the opportunity to choose some or all of the sightseeing and cultural activities below:

• Cartago cathedral visit
• Farmer's market
• Volcano crater hike
• La Paz Waterfalls and wildlife preserve
• Coffee plantation tour
• Visit Manuel Antonio National Park
• Rainforest hanging bridges walk

Brush up on your Spanish with some review classes (optional) intended to get some conversations started with the locals. Meet some Costa Ricans and let them introduce you to some of the country's cultural expressions.

A service trip usually includes a variety of educational visits, cultural encounters, language experiences, and service opportunities. We set up the activities directly with the local organizations, churches, schools, and companies. We design the itinerary using our knowledge of Costa Rica and logistical coordination and based on your objectives for your group's tour.

We personally choose, evaluate, and guarantee the quality of the 3 to 4-star hotels that we use for our tours. Your group may choose to visit the city, the jungle and volcano area, and/or the beach during your tour to Costa Rica. All of the hotels that we use offer:

• Air-conditioning
• Televisions
• Hot water
• Private bathrooms
• Swimming pool
• Meeting rooms
• An exercise gym
• Internet access
• International phone access

Breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily are included in our tour (from lunch on the first day to breakfast on the last day). Meals are generally served buffet style to ensure that the food is hot and that everyone in the group can eat at the same time. We work hard to make sure the meals are healthy and that the portions are generous.

Over-land bus travel
Your group will have exclusive use of an air-conditioned bus during the entire duration of your tour in Costa Rica. A full-time driver will transport your group to all activites, projects, and sightseeing activities.

Air travel (priced separately from our land package)
We price airfare separately from our land portion tour package. If you would prefer to book your airfare on your own, you are welcome to do so. However, we have extensive experience planning and booking group air travel and work with six different airlines that fly to Costa Rica. Just give us your travel dates and departure airport and we will send you a group airfare price quote.

Relax on your tour with the knowledge that a highly qualified tour guide is with you 24 hours per day. Our friendly tour guides stay at the hotel with your group and join all of your activities. The tour guide is responsible for ensuring the high quality of the tour and making sure the logistics run according to the itinerary.
