Brush up on your Spanish with some review classes (optional) intended to get some conversations started with the locals. Meet some Costa Ricans and let them introduce you to some of the country's cultural expressions.

There's no better way to build unity within your group than giving back to the community through volunteer service. Participants often tell us that this is the highlight of the tour.

Visit a Children's Community Center
This center cares for and educates over 200 low-income children between the ages of 1-12 years old. Dozens of our groups have visited the center, played with the children, and brought donations of clothing or toys.

Promote literacy by reading books in English to Costa Rican elementary children
Your team can visit a public elementary school and spend some time reading children's books in English to the kids. English is mandatory and taught to students starting in grade one. The kids love to practice and they especially love stories!

An educational tour usually includes a variety of cultural encounters, language experiences, and service opportunities. We set up the activities directly with the local organizations, churches, schools, and companies. We design the itinerary using our knowledge of Costa Rica and logistical coordination and based on your objectives for your group's tour.

We personally choose, evaluate, and guarantee the quality of the 3 to 4-star hotels that we use for our tours. Your group may choose to visit the city, the jungle and volcano area, and/or the beach during your tour to Costa Rica. All of the hotels that we use offer:

• Internet access
• International phone access

Breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily are included in our tour (from lunch on the first day to breakfast on the last day). Meals are generally served buffet style to ensure that the food is hot and that everyone in the group can eat at the same time. We work hard to make sure the meals are healthy and that the portions are generous.

Over-land bus travel
Your group will have exclusive use of an air-conditioned bus during the entire duration of your tour in Costa Rica. A full-time driver will transport your group to all activites, projects, and sightseeing activities.

Air travel (priced separately from our land package)
We price airfare separately from our land portion tour package. If you would prefer to book your airfare on your own, you are welcome to do so. However, we have extensive experience planning and booking group air travel and work with six different airlines that fly to Costa Rica. Just give us your travel dates and departure airport and we will send you a group airfare price quote.

Relax on your tour with the knowledge that a highly qualified tour guide is with you 24 hours per day. Our friendly tour guides stay at the hotel with your group and join all of your activities. The tour guide is responsible for ensuring the high quality of the tour and making sure the logistics run according to the itinerary.
